Aqui está la entrevista copiada y pegada del L.A. Times. ¿Me queréis decir dónde dice eso de que Duff y Slash sí y los otros dos no (cosa con la que, dejando a un lado que no lo dice, estoy de acuerdo, Adler y el otro están para que les cuiden, no para girar a ninguna puta parte)?

"Reporting from Seattle— Axl Rose is wearing a white cotton bathrobe and white tube socks, relaxing on a couch backstage Friday night after a three-hour concert at Seattle's Key Arena, where he'd snaked his way through 34 songs with a version of the band he co-founded a quarter-century ago, Guns N' Roses. It's 3 a.m., and the singer, the sole remaining original member, has shed the bad-ass sunglasses and flat-brimmed Stetson-style hat he wore onstage, pulled off the snakeskin boots and changed out of his faded bell bottoms.

It's been a whirlwind year for the notoriously unpredictable and polarizing Rose. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recently announced Guns N' Roses' induction, 25 years after he and former core members Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan and Steven Adler set the Sunset Strip, and then the world, on fire. The announcement prompted speculation that at the April 14 rock hall ceremony in Cleveland, the original "Appetite for Destruction" lineup — a historically acrimonious lot with the opinionated Rose at the center — might perform together for the first time in two decades.

But this positive ray comes amid a stormy 2011 that has seen Rose, 49, fire two managers in the last year, the most recent of which, Peter Katsis, was let go in early December. Since the dissolution of that first lineup, the iconic singer has released just one album, "Chinese Democracy," which he spent 13 years and millions of dollars making. And his current tour is part of a settlement agreement with former GNR manager (and Live Nation Entertainment executive chairman) Irving Azoff that dictated the band do a number of performances with Live Nation as the promoter, and Rose is worried that it's not being properly marketed. He and Guns N' Roses bring this tour to the Forum on Wednesday night.

It's the kind of negative energy that can sap a person's creativity, says Rose, sipping on a beer, his auburn hair hanging over his shoulders pretty much the same way it did in the old days, a horseshoe-shaped red mustache complementing it. "Once I get the next things sorted out with the label, then I feel I can get to that creative place that I've been fighting to get to, and to use Guns N' Roses to do so," he says.

The problem is that while he believes that he and his GNR — some of whom, like bassist Tommy Stinson and guitarist Richard Fortus, have been with him for more than a decade — is hitting on all cylinders now, potential business partners are looking at other factors. "Every manager comes in and wants me to make things smaller," says Rose. Guns N' Roses, for example, requires twice as many tour trucks as the budget calls for, he says. Why no one else can understand the band's needs is an obvious frustration for Rose.

More important, he adds, most managers want the same thing that nearly every rock 'n' roll fan of the past quarter-century wants, and the one thing he stubbornly refuses to do: reunite with Slash, Izzy, Duff and the rest of the classic GNR group for a tour. The constant question is an albatross and leaves Rose not only tired but wary of anyone in the business looking to work with him. "All these managers, they all believe in one thing: sell a reunion tour and get their commission. It's just a phone call. It's a half a day's … work, or however long they want to keep the bidding war going. They get their commission and they don't care if it falls on its face."

This mistrust is partially the reason why Rose's current management team is more family than business partner. It's headed by Beta Lebeis, a Brazilian woman Rose met when she was his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Seymour's assistant; she began working for him after his tempestuous relationship with Seymour ended in 1993. Lebeis' two adult children, Fernando and Vanessa, round out the management group. Lebeis says that this arrangement is the result of an ultimatum she gave Rose after Guns N' Roses' most recent manager, Katsis, left the fold after less than a month on the job.

"We decided, 'No more managers,'" said Lebeis a few days after the Seattle concert. "Between me and Fernando and my daughter, we're dealing with the management." Lebeis added that she characterizes Rose as "more than a son to me," and that after Katsis' departure, "I told [Rose] if he hires another manager, I quit." One of the Lebeis three is almost always at Rose's side, be it in paparazzi photos or side stage during concerts, near the little makeshift dressing room that Rose frequently races into during guitar solos, or on that rare occasion when he actually sits down with a journalist.

As the clock pushes toward 4 a.m., Rose's tone has shifted. He still has to do his regular hour-long vocal exercises before retiring for the night, and the venom of earlier in the evening he'd directed against various players in the music industry seems to have left his system.

Asked if music was still the driving factor in his life that it once was, Rose pauses. "Well, it wasn't for a long time. It was hard to make myself want to do the old songs again. It was like, I wasn't going around my house dancing to 'Jungle.' To even figure out how to even make myself move to those songs — and how I was going to move to them — that was a big thing to figure out in '06."

Based on the show earlier in the night, he's figured it out. Rose is proud of the big rock concert he and his band have created. Over the three hours, Rose (though a few pounds heavier than the lithe young rock star of "Appetite" days), moved quickly and deftly, sprinting from stage left to stage right, yowling with delight during "Shackler's Revenge" and "Sweet Child O' Mine," sitting at the piano for "November Rain." He offered classic cover versions of songs by AC/DC, Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan, and a solo piano rendition of "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road." And at points, he turned the stage over to his band members for solos and extended riffs. If his voice carried less grace and more heft at 49 than when he was gliding through the intro to "Civil War" two decades ago, he made up for it with sheer determination.

The enthusiasm he feels for this band is evident on his face, which lights up when talking about working with former Replacements bassist Stinson, guitarists Fortus, DJ Ashba, and Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal and the rest of the '11 Roses.

It's a far contrast to his demeanor when Slash's name comes up. Despite requests from Rose's publicist that he not be asked questions about the former GNR guitarist, Rose himself mentions his ex-bandmate's name minutes into the conversation and locks onto the subject.

Slash was a late arrival into the Guns N' Roses fold, Rose loves reminding people, and apart from a few key riffs, says Rose, the guitarist was much less involved in the songs than Rose and Stradlin.

"It was really a fight with me and Slash," says Rose of the forces that took down the band. "Izzy was doing the same thing, but the fight with me and Slash started the day I met him. He came in, popped my tape out and put his in and wanted me in his band. And I didn't want to join his band. We've had that war since Day 1."

When he's asked the inevitable question — who will perform onstage as Guns N' Roses at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony? — Rose is circumspect. These kinds of honors, while special to him, are also complicated. "I've got mixed emotions about what the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame actually really is, but at the same time, there's a lot of people — the fans — that it just means something to them, and they're happy. It's like you won the Heisman or something."

The last thing Rose wants to do, he stresses, is ruin it for others. He refers to Marlon Brando sending an American Indian activist to accept his Oscar and give a protest speech "and everybody getting … off, or when Michael Moore got up at the Academy Awards and said whatever about George Bush. People don't want that associated with their awards shows, even if you have a big audience. In one way it might be right, but it usually backfires on whoever does it. So I really don't want to spoil it for everybody else — or take the beating."

Then he said curtly of the induction performance: "There is no plan yet. There really is no plan. We're still busy with this lineup. We're gonna be busy — we're gonna be busy all next year. We'll be putting out new stuff as soon as we can figure out what our deal is with labels, blah blah blah."

As to whether he feels that he bears any responsibility for the state of limbo he's in, Rose says: "You can say it's my fault, but to me it's like if you're on a plane and somebody trips you and the air marshal arrests you for falling — like it's my fault for allowing somebody to trip me?""

Buffff, desde luego no le doy el sentido de la traducción de Basa. Da la impresión que para una supuesta gira de reunión, por ejemplo para tener la banda de los Illusions, para Axl solo harían falta Duff y Slash, en aquella banda ya no estaban ni Izzy ni Steven (a Matt y Gilby ni los debe considerar como miembros pasados del grupo). Pero ve esa formación solamente como algo del pasado, su banda ahora son los chicos con los que toca y con los que lleva un montón de años...

...o algo así... como bien dice capone

Joder, sí que habla raro... pero se le entiende claro cuando habla de una reunión incompleta en el tercer párrafo, y a la vez el segundo párrafo (de éste último post de kaiser) está metiendo ahí a slah y duff (pero no en ese orden, ojo Very Happy

). Y no se por qué haría eso si no estuviera hablando de que van a estar con él en el jalofeim ese.

Lo dicho, interesantísimo culebrón, por mucho que si no fuera por el foro el hall of fame ese ni me sonaría.

El "pero sólo lo haría" ese de la traducción rafabasiana de "but the only thing that would make it", es como mínimo sospechosamente tendencioso... habla de que funcionaría la cosa, no de que él lo vaya a hacer. Falta un "I" y sobra un "it" por ahí. Creo, que ando algo fumesteao.

Aún así, entiendo que eso es lo que él cree que va a pasar. Si no, no entendería la referencia.

Lo que parece probable si es verdad lo que le dice el tipo del Jal of Feim a Eddie Trunk, es que habrá tocata o parlamento entre los 5 originales.

Es un principio para que hablen, limen los malos rollos que puedan haber entre algunos de ellos y quizá se planteen reunión algún día.

ya lo puse antes, ni caso de las traducciones. bajo mi punto de vista, Axl viene a decir que duff y slash podríane star a la altura de la reunión, pero que no cuenta con Izzy ni Steven por motivos obvios de cada uno (supongo que se refiera a que Izzy va a su bola y Steven es... Steven joder!)

También hace alguna alusión a la gente que entró en la gira de los Illusion, como puede ser Matt y Gilby y que no se sentiría cómodo haciendo algo con ellos.

nada, llevo toda la tarde esperando para poder verlo en diferido. En directo solo pude "oirlo", y todavia no esta disponible. lo estan subiendo aun en iClips, que parece un sitio amateur, a la altura del management actual.

Lo que entiendo que quiere decir Axl es que con tantos managers buscando una supuesta gira de reunión la única cosa que daría el pego ( the only thing that would make it ) sería una que incluyese a Duff y Slash , no dice que vaya a pasar pero tampoco dice que se morirá antes de verse encima de un escenario con Slash ... y eso ya es un avance

Yo lo que interpreto de las palabras de Axl es que considera a esos dos los únicos con los que (dejando todo lo personal a un lado y valorando otras cosas), sería capaz de subirse a un escenario o meterse en un estudio a hacer algo que fuese coherente y que pudiese tomarse en serio a día de hoy. Supongo que en el hipotético caso de que eso pudiese ocurrir algún día claro, pero por lo menos con ello demuestra que no cierra la puerta a esa situación en un hipotético futuro. Lo de Steven me lo podía imaginar, pero lo de Izzy ya me resulta mas chocante, aunque como dije antes, intuyo que está dejando todo lo personal a un lado y valorando solamente la capacidad de trabajo, o la manera de tomarse la "profesión musical" o actitud hacia ello a día de hoy de sus ex compañeros.

También puede ser una retorcida maniobra de ir dejando durante ésta semana pistas sugiriendo la intención de una posible reunión (sobre todo con Slash) para ir dándole credibilidad a cada día que pasa a esa demencial idea, dotando de consistencia a una gran noticia (que de otra manera nadie se tragaría) que publicará Beta el día 28 en la nueva web metiéndonosla doblada a todos. Aunque teniendo en cuenta que los anglosajones eso lo hacen el día de April's Fool y no el de los Santos Inocentes, yo descartaría esa última opción.

Oye arnie sé serio tío, ¿tú ves a Izzy y a Steven de gira mundial manteniendo el tipo físicamente?

Aunque tíos, vale, si hablamos de "reunión" en una habitación para echar una partida y tomarse unas copas, ok, eso puede hacerse. Pero ¿de verdad estos cinco tíos están en condiciones de reunirse para algo que tenga que ver con el negocio?

No flipéis. Contestad con sensatez y no con ilusiones.

de la manera que llevan el cotarro esta gente, definitivamente NO estan para una reunion en condiciones. Pero es que ninguno de ellos, no solamente palomitas y el de sitges. Pero la gente quiere hacerse pajas, y es licito, yo tambien me las hago (menos que antes, sera la edad) pero ahora busco cosas mas "naturales" y "mundanas" como los videos amateur de parejas españolas con desencuadres, planos sin sentido y sobreactuaciones lamentables y ya me quedan lejos los videos de la vivid y cia.

Pues lo mismo, cada uno se hace las pajas como quiere, pero Traci Lords no es la que era y encima ni hace porno.

Y se refiere a que las dos únicas personas que estarían en disposición de girar porque son las únicas que han demostrado hasta la fecha que son capaces de aquirir el tipo de compromiso necesario de manera profesional para llevar a cabo algo así; son SLASH y DUFF. Obviamente por separado cada uno de ellos ha sido capaz de llevar a cabo giras con sus propios grupos y es un hecho demostrable, mientras que IZZY, del que Axl siempre dice que nunca sabe qué va a hacer o si acudirá a una cita (en Eddie Trunk acordaos de que dijo, supuestamente Izzy debería de haber estado aquí esta noche, pero no ha aparecido) y bueno, de Popcorn no hay mucho que hablar porque sigue siendo un jodido Junkie.

Vamos que se refiere a que una gira de la formación original NO SERÍA POSIBLE y lo que hace es DISPARAR BALONES FUERA echándole la culpa a Izzy y a Steven (y además con razón) diciendo que si no es posible no es por su culpa. AXL SE QUITA DE ENMEDIO y pasa de enfrentamientos que en el pasado no le han dejado en buen lugar ante la eterna e incómoda pregunta de siempre.

En otro orden de cosas, ese Youtube MUY MUY pero que MUY BIEN TODOS. (eso sí, los coros de Mothergoose los podrían bajar un poco XD)

Ese pro-shot, hay que reconocer, que es otro mundo respecto a Rock in Rio. Noche y día. Me alegro. Me ha gustado especialmente lo sólida que suena "Chinese Democracy". Esperemos que la cosa solo vaya a mejor pues.

Lo único que me ha chirriado son los coros. El resto muy bien, incluso el batería, que normalmente no me gusta nada el groove que le da a los temas. No toca mal claro, pero nunca me ha acabado de encajar su estilo. El bajo de Tommy Stinson suena cañón cañón.

"Guns N' Roses set the world ablaze every time they hit the stage.

Last night, Los Angeles got to play with fire, and the city may never be the same. Axl Rose, guitarists DJ Ashba, Richard Fortus, and Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, bass player Tommy Stinson, drummer Frank Ferrer, and keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman ignited the packed Forum with one of the greatest rock 'n' roll shows ever. It was a team effort all around, and at the center of this army Rose sounded tough, tight, and triumphant.

The immortal opening delay of "Welcome to the Jungle" creeped from the amps as Rose announced, "You're in the jungle Los Angeles. You're gonna die!"

Instantly, "Welcome to the Jungle" roared with a primal power enhanced by the prowess of guitar triumvirate Ashba, Fortus, and Bumblefoot. Rose ran across the stage with an uncontainable energy that surged through the venue bringing everyone to their feet. Stinson's four-string roll pulled the trigger on "It's So Easy" as Rose slipped into his menacing baritone seamlessly hitting the darkest low notes and brightest high notes.

Fireworks surrounded the band as four screens behind them displayed sexy, sleek visuals in tandem with the tunes. The third Appetite for Destruction classic in a row, "Mr. Brownstone", swung with schizophrenic intensity exorcised from the depths of the legendary singer's very soul.

"Worrying's a waste of my fucking time," he declared in the verse. He's still the king; he's got nothing to worry about.

"This song's called 'Feeling Remorseful', he joked as the guitarists began ripping through the ominous intro of Chinese Democracy standout "Sorry". Rose carried the song's refrain flawlessly as orchestral swells emanated from Reed and Pitman's keyboards perched upon the risers. The tune remains a modern rock symphony emblematic of Rose's undying willingness to continually push the envelope. A wheezy wah-ed out industrial guitar stomp fueled "Shackler's Revenge", and Bumblefoot redefined what a guitar is capable of, pulling out a myriad of cyber squeals from his axe while Rose lifted the hook to the heavens like only he can.

Reed's piano segue in the middle of "Estranged" was simultaneously haunting and hypnotic as Rose snaked and shimmied across the stage to Bumblefoot's shredding. The funk bitch-slap of "Rocket Queen" stood encased in seductive warmth as the screens displayed noir-ish videos of models dancing. Fortus's slide wizardry entwined with Bumblefoot's 12-string assault. The Appetite for Destruction climax illuminated Rose's genius as each lyric hit succinctly while that immortal voice resounded through the night.

Rose remains surrounded by true rock heroes as well. Fortus boasted a level of refined fleet-fingered fireworks during his "James Bond Theme" solo spot while Ashba and Bumblefoot put on equally marvelous displays of six-string mastery during their moments in the spotlight. After an invigorating "Live and Let Die", a ballerina reminiscent of Black Swan took over the jumbotrons as Rose intensely crooned out the gorgeous pain of "This I Love", another new classic from Chinese Democracy. Reed transformed The Who's "Baba O'Reilly" into "Street of Dreams" elegantly transitioning.

Ferrer's intense drumming catapulted "You Could Be Mine" forward at lightspeed as the most dangerous musical outlaw of all time took us back to Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II. Evolution was the name of the game as Rose sat behind the piano and took Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" right into "November Rain". In many ways, "November Rain" is like his "Stairway to Heaven". It's just as important as that Led Zeppelin juggernaut, and it sounded better than ever coming from Rose and co. last night.

"Don't Cry", "Knockin' On Heaven's Door", and "Civil War" invigorated the audience, pulling them deep into Illusion and evincing a degree of diversity few artists can truly tap into. After a steamrolling "Nightrain", "Madagascar" dove deep into Democracy as wild animals dominated the screens behind the band. Still, there's nothing quite as wild as the Whammy screech of "Better" complete with Rose catching some air.

More moments of blissful beauty came during "Patience", which culminated on a full-on distorted hum and a slamming crescendo out. Rose wished everyone, "Happy holidays, merry Christmas, and happy fucking new year", but the most intimate moment came as he deliberately declared, "I want to thank every fucking one of you."

Thank you Axl for the inspiration and timeless tunes. He continues to accomplish the impossible, taking classic bravado and infusing it into a massive modern rock show that's unrivaled. How many artists can stay relevant? How many can continue to push the envelope.

Rose stands alone, and the inferno he's created is hotter than ever. Keep burning…"

ya he podido ver varios videos en youtube de lo acontecido ayer.

varias cosas,

la banda si... fenomenal en lo instrumental y sobretodo en lo puramente escénico.

Los coros en algunas canciones apestan, no se si Tommy o Pittman, pero suenan horriblemente mal, lo de Sorry es catastrófico.

Axl no estaba en su mejor noche, vamos que en ese mismo video de estranged no muestra una mejoría significativa con lo que escuchamos la noche de RIR.

El otro día llamabais ventrílocuo a Myles Kennedy... pero Axl por momentos hace de Moreno consigo mismo.

Con todo y con eso, tú sí que vales.

Axl bastante flojo, no canta con cojones nada mas que algun rato de la segunda mitad.
Y el puto ashba me ha resultado cargante a mas no poder. Ya hasta va a tocarle los huevos a ferrer tocandole platos y timbalitos. Le tenia que meter un remazo que le echase abajo de la tarima con guitarra y todo.

Molti, el pajaro esta en el nido. Ayer lo estuve escuchando en el coche y si señor, me ha gustado. Hay buenos temas y la cosa suena.
De momento no lo he escuchado como para decirte mas que eso.
