Un inicio de década de lo mas prometedor, aunque luego la cosa no fue para echar cohetes. Pero este año tenemos discazos enormes como la última gran obra de Monster Magnet, esa obra maestra que es el Relationship of Command, el último de Pantera, el disco con el que Homme deja definitivamente atrás su pasado stoner, el último álbum de Marylin Manson antes de caer en la decadencia absoluta, el mejor disco del mejor proyecto paralelo de Maynard, el disco donde los Deftones demuestran que son mucho mas que un grupo un-metal, Matt Pike regresando al juego con un disco de lo mas sucio y pesado…

El de Pantera nunca me ha dicho gran cosa, no se que tengo con ese disco. El de Manson me gustaba mucho en su momento, pero se me hacia un poco largo, lo dejo algo lejos de sus dos mejores obras. El de GYBE es un buen viaje que en momentos me apetece poner, pero no llego a conectar 100%, Y el de Fu Manchu es un grande del stoner doom, pero siendo menos asiduo al género más pesado de los sonidos desérticos me quedo con el The Action Is Go antes.

Genial ese disco, aunque me gusta muchísimo más el siguiente. Por alguna razón el disco me trae a la cabeza "Islands" de King Crimson, aunque sé que no es una cita que ayude. Pero es bastante paranoico y repleto de espirales.

El segundo ya lo grabaron con Neurot, pero este primero salió con otro buen sello, de Oakland, Life is Abuse. Que también editaron en 2000 el debut de Yeti, "Things to come", otro buen disco de kraut/prog/sludge.

Radiohead tienen tres discos como tres soles con la cumbre del ok computer así que la duda siempre está ahí, es realmente Kid A un discazo y yo no lo entiendo? lo he intentado seriamente al menos dos veces y no puedo, soy yo o es Kid?

A mi es un disco que me cuesta terminar, pero tiene momentos realmente cojonudos.
Supongo que algo tiene que tener para que guste a tanta gente de gustos tan variados.

No lo creo, pero fue el primero que tuve en cd y le tengo un especial cariño. Lo quemé muchísimo en esa época y todavía hoy lo disfruto.
