Recording of album II is finished after 9 days of tracking with my stalwart partner in sound Richard Behrens at Big Snuff Studio! I can say with confidence that this is probably the most 'out there' record I've written: ambitious, perhaps confusingly fluent in genres, densely layered and quite loooong. I guess that's what happens when you write music in the in-between times over a few years.
I had some great help from Fabien de Menou (from Perilymph) who handled basically all of the keyboard parts on this record as well as Michael Risberg who lent some awesome spacey touches. Thank you guys for your help in pulling this off! Special thanks of course to Richard as well for your patience and assistance in giving flight to ideas.
We'll return in a few weeks to start picking through the weeds and mixing this thing; a release date is already penciled for late summer and we'll have some tour dates to announce as well. Looking forward to sharing some new music with the world, as always!

Last year while on tour in Europe, we had the fortune to be invited by the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show (thanks Daniel Carter!) to record a live session at the legendary BBC Maida Vale Studios. We recorded a few tracks from the live set we had been playing at that time and were very happy with the results - a very 'live' sounding version of the tracks, which can be sometimes a bit ambitious to pull off live. Most folks missed the radio broadcast, so we figured we'd put it to vinyl and CD as well.

The LP version is available in two colors: tricolor green/black marbled vinyl (limited to 1000 pcs and exclusively available at the Stickman Records webstore) and standard solid red.
The LP comes with a full-size fold out poster and download code!

ALL PATHS DIVERGE - new album coming soon on Stickman Records (EU)/ Blues Funeral Recordings (US)

I'm happy to finally announce the next delving album "All Paths Diverge" will be released on August 23rd!

Unlike Hirschbrunnen, which was more or less a child of the pandemic, this album was written in between times on tour with Elder and is full of new impressions and inspirations. I think it's the most diverse and sometimes weird record I've ever worked on, and damn I'm proud of this one!

Richard Behrens at Big Snuff Studios did a great job of bringing out all the nuances of these tracks and being extremely patient while dealing with endless tweaking. Benjamin Butter transformed the music into beautiful artwork that perfectly captures the feeling of the record (wait till you see the full gatefold).

All Paths Diverge will be released in Europe by Stickman Records and in the US by Blues Funeral Recordings, each with their own separate editions!
