I quickly opened the door and frantically made sure he was still breathing. When I woke him, he got horrifyingly angry, screaming as he made his way to the powder room and vomited. When I checked in on him to see if he was OK, he became violent. He threw me around and almost killed me, pushing me so hard I fell, sustaining multiple bruises all over my body and persistent back pain since the incident. I then went to the residence of my ex-husband, a well-respected surgeon, who had to dress my wounds, as I was frightened to go to the police or hospital. I prayed this would never happen again. This was not the first nor the last time he was violent with me. He attempted to strangle me several times throughout the years.”

Dr. Hollander wrote me a letter documenting Dean’s confession of abuse. Dr. Hollander has also stated he would not see Dean as a client again.”

“Dean cannot control his temper, and we are all walking on eggshells 24 hours a day. It is debilitating. You cannot touch the car door or the car handle, or leave any fingerprints anywhere without Dean completely flipping out. ‘Fuck, you touched the door! Watch your finger prints!’”

En esta vida, además de maltratadores, también hay personas que son mentirosas patológicas y manipuladoras, y que con tal de conseguir lo que quieren son capaces de arruinar a quien sea. No me sorprendería que Jenn sea una mentirosa. Dice que cuando encontró a Dean desmayado en su auto y ella fue a despertarle reaccionó de una manera tan violenta al punto de casi matarla.
Bueno, entonces habrá acudido con las pruebas físicas de esto o llamado a la policía y habría pruebas con lo que si es así, pues que la ley actúe. Pero acusarle de eso teniendo, se entiende, evidencias físicas claras de la violencia que Dean ejerció sobre ella.

Una persona identificada como “IWas17HeWas36” (YoTenía17ÉlTenía36) ha hecho pública una historia sobre un supuesto abuso sexual que Maynard James Keenan, vocalista de Tool, ejerció sobre ella hace algunos años durante un concierto en el que la banda teloneaba a Nine Inch Nails.

Dada la importancia del tema y la repercusión que ha tenido esta acusación, nos hacemos eco para compartirla con vosotros.

La persona que ha hecho esta acusación inicia su hilo diciendo que elige la anonimidad por el miedo de contar esta historia desde su cuenta real. Dice que los hechos ocurrieron en el 2000. Ella estaba en primera fila junto a su novio y Maynard la vio en el público. Luego del concierto, una mujer rubia la invitó al backstage, indicando que sólo tenía un pase, por lo cuál su novio se quedó en el concierto, a la espera de Nine Inch Nails. Luego de una breve charla, Maynard le preguntó su edad y la invitó a ver una película en el autobús de la gira, la llevó a una habitación con una cama, puso una película, comenzó a desvestirse y ella se quedó “congelada” sin poder reaccionar mientras el músico la penetraba “sin intento de precalentamiento”, lo que ella menciona como su interpretación de que Maynard intentó “violarla tan rápido como pudiese”.

Por ahora, la banda y el vocalista no han hecho pública ninguna versión de los hechos. El sitio en el que se recogen más opiniones y testimonios al respecto parece ser Reddit. En este post del subreddit de Tool, en este post en el subreddit de música indie o este post en el subreddit de Nine Inch Nails, podemos encontrar diversos mensajes, donde algunos fans ponen en duda la acusación y otros comparten historias que podrían indicar que el comportamiento de Maynard con las fans solía ser similar al que se describe en la acusación.

Y si es tan grave la agresión que sufres que  casi te mata, y dices que ya has sufrido malos tratos de él anteriormente, no tiene ningún sentido acudir a alguien y luego no ir con esa persona de inmediato al hospital y a la policía como cuenta:

Yo lo que leo en tu primer mensaje es que sólo valoras la posibilidad de que ella sea una mentirosa y no de que Dean haya actuado de esa manera, y luego estableces el patrón de comportamiento que según tú debería haber seguido ella de ser cierto que fue agredida. Está más que demostrado que después de un suceso de este tipo es bastante común no actuar como comentas, ya que entran muchos factores en juego que no controlamos. Hay infinidad de casos de violencia doméstica no denunciados o que se denuncian tras años y que uno piensa ¿cómo no lo ha hecho antes?. Y con esto no digo que Dean sea culpable, sino que ya está bien de que la reacción sea "seguro que es una mentirosa porque no me creo que no denunciase en tal momento"

Mira, no voy a perder más tiempo. Está lo que he escrito. Como si lo quieres interpretar como una zarzuela o un poema sobre los mapaches.

Te entiendo, pero a mí las melodías del gualtrapón me parecen muy en la onda de la banda. Lo único que me chirría es que el tio se parezca tanto a Scott. Me da hasta yuyu...

Escuchada y con mucha atención.
Me ha parecido muy genérica dentro del sonido Pilots... y el estribillo no me acaba nada.

Pues acabo de tener un momento de clarividencia:

Ver a alguien sustituyendo a Scott Weiland no es sino un momento a lo "Vértigo" de Hitchcock. Yo todavía no sé si voy a ser capaz de afrontar algo así. Es muy chungo. Yo si los viera pues será por ver por primera vez en directo a Dean, Robert y Eric. Es que es así.

Piensa que por lo menos verás algo decente pq weiland hacia el ridículo en su última etapa en directo.es la mejor forma creo de afrontarlo.

Su vida personal la desconozco, lo único que veía eran actuaciones que colgaba la gente a mala idea de salía puesto hasta las cejas y desafinando y haciendo el ridículo. Una pena lo tenía todo para ser uno de los más grandes pero las drogas le machaca ron y el no supo salir del pozo.
Me pareció leer hace años q después de un concierto en Bcn se piro por ahí a buscar heroína y q no aparecía por ningún lado, el grupo y todo el círculo que llevan no podía controlarle su adicción.

Estoy de acuerdo, aún sabiendo de primera mano cómo actúan los yonkis y lo imposible que resulta convivir con ellos, tengo que romper una lanza a favor de Weiland y aclarar que ella era tan yonki como él, son conocidas las numerosas peleas entre ambos. Lo horrible fue que ni muerto fue capaz su ex mujer de tener un mínimo de respeto sabiendo lo que ambos eran y cargándole todo el problema de las drogas a él, en la sucia carta que mostró a los periodistas.

Es cierto que weiland se arrastraba de últimas en directo, pero tiene un legado demasiado grande y se merecía un respeto.

No hay cosa que más me duela ver que a Weiland con Velvet Revolver por ejemplo, no por la propuesta musical, sino por la degradación física y vocal.

 Los momentos a los que haces referencia son de muchísimos años atrás. A los que yo me refiero son a Weiland tomando drogas legales prescritas que le dejaban tan zombie como para no estar en condiciones de estar ofreciendo conciertos. Su mujer debió darse cuenta y dejar de exigirle económicamente. Pero le pareció más importante exprimirlo económicamente aunque esto acabara con su vida. A esto me refiero.

Creo que iré a ver a STP porque nunca los pude ver.

Y soy muy, muy fan.

Se me hará extraño y difícil verlos sin Scott, pero tampoco pude ver a AIC con Layne. Me centraré en observar a Dean, Robert y Eric. Que son unos músicos ENORMES, ENORMES DE VERDAD, QUE CREARON DISCOS MAJESTUOSOS.
Está claro que Scott era único, y para mí que siguiera vivo me daba ánimos no sabéis cómo, luego verle decaer públicamente se me hizo muy difícil.
Pero eso, que ellos 3 hicieron música maravillosa y sólo por eso debería verles en el Download, porque son uno de MIS GRUPOS. De los ESENCIALES.

Yo por suerte los vi con Weiland en Paredes de Coura hace un porrón de años. Aún así los vuelvo a ver en Junio, son una de las bandas de mi vida, y solo por ver a los DeLeo, Kretz, y escuchar esos temones en directo me va a merecer la pena.

Y las cosas claras, tanto el EP como el LP publicados con Jeff Gutt están muy bien.

Estoy de acuerdo contigo. Ya sabemos que no es lo mismo que los anteriores discos, pero son muy disfrutables.

Y con respecto a Jeff Gutt, creo que él era muy fan de STP y de Scott e intenta transmitirlo en escena.
Da cierto yuyu que se parezca tanto, pero si fuera radicalmente diferente tal vez nos chirriaría también.

De cualquier forma, es un grupo que es tan fundamental para mí que no puedo despreciar que sigan adelante, creando buena música.
Y la verdad es que en esa senda han continuado.

Los veo en Colonia el 25 de Junio (hola Centollitos!), y tengo unas ganas tremendas. Voy a disfrutar como un gorrino.
