Bueno, mucha más gente les pudo ver el año pasado en el BBK Live, pero mi mejor recuerdo (aparte de lo del Hard Rock Calling y el capote que les echó Bruce) será el concierto en la sala Botanique de Bruselas hace año y medio, con unas 400 personas entregadísimas (se conocían los discos mucho mejor que yo) y la banda dándolo todo. Son de los que se entregan mucho más si ven que el público responde (y en Bilbao se encontraron con un panorama bien triste).

“Tom Waits is someone who has really struck me, ever since I was a kid,” Fallon reveals. “He’s really a big deal for me. It’s always Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Tom Waits for me, the big three. And you know Greg Dulli from the Afghan Whigs? That’s also a big one.”

His favourite record by the Whigs is 1993’s Gentlemen, an emotionally devastating account of love gone wrong.

“When I heard it, I was like 13 or 14 years old—way too young to be hearing stuff like that,” Fallon says. “But I was like, ‘Ohhh, man—this is what’s up. I’m going for it.’ I’m actually working right now on these songs that are totally different from Gaslight. It’s very influenced by the Afghans and the Twilight Singers and all that Greg Dulli stuff.”

My ideal would be to be a mix of the three. I like the heartfelt, odd poetry of Tom Waits, the sympathy in Bruce's lyrics, and the absolute clarity of thought to get straight to the point that Bob Dylan has.

Well, it changes all the time, sometimes it's Layla, but right now I'm totally mystified by the song Blood Bank by Bon Iver. Also, I always wished I wrote "Nineteen" by Tegan and Sara.

Lo último que ha puesto en el blog es que van a dejar de tocar los temas 1930, High Lonesome y Meet Me By The River's Edge. Que si alguien va por escuchar esas 3 que se ahorre el dinero de la entrada.
Si alguien quiere pedir algún tema que lo haga en su cuenta de twitter que lo mira siempre antes del concierto y que se haga eso, que chillar durante todo el concierto NO funcionará nunca
