The Gaslight Anthem will release their new album this summer - and will tour the UK to support the release.

The album, 'American Slang', is the follow-up to 2008's 'The '59 Sound', and will be released in June. The UK shows kick off on June 22 in Birmingham.

Frontman Brian Fallon has claimed that ‘American Slang’ – which they worked on with producer Ted Hutt at The Magic Shop in New York - will see them step away from their influences.

“For the last record we looked really into it and we asked ‘What are our influences and how do we jam them in?’” he explained to NME.COM. “And on this one, we’re writing songs that we feel are relevant to us.”

The Gaslight Anthem will play:

cierto! no es que sea un disco dificil, todo lo contrario, quizás de primera parezca incluso demasiado evidente, pero tiene un puñao de canciones muy guapas

Espero que este viendo un vídeo descoordinado porque hay cosas raras que invitan a pensar en playback o algo raro

Y las letras igual, tienen algo, y me gusta que en todas (o en 9) citen alguna canción de Springsteen. O que diga lo de Southern Accents on the radio, o lo de Maria came from nashville with a suitcase in her hand...

yo creo que muchos hemos pasado por eso, yo al principio desconfié a saco de lo obvios que son, pero me dejé llevar por la fantástica energía e inercia del disco, y luego me conquistaron la gran cantidad de temazos
la verdad es que es un discazo!

y claro, un fan del Boss como tú no podía dejar pasar los guiños al maestro...

Yo tambien tarde en pillarles el punto. Me lo compre despues en play.com creo que a 6'50 y ultimamente estaba a 5'50, asi que dejaos de ipods y mierdas, que son cinco duros. Por cierto, creo que el primero que los cito fue manel. pero fue Boohan el que los alzo a los altares, eso si.
